Web3 security company suffers from former employee's theft, Bedrock UniBTC protocol attacked
[Coin World] On June 23, news broke that Web3 security and analytics company FuzzLand recently disclosed a security incident involving the Bedrock UniBTC protocol. According to officials, a former employee exploited internal permissions and advanced persistent threat techniques to steal sensitive system information for three weeks, ultimately leading to an attack on the protocol. The incident stemmed from a report on Dedaub vulnerabilities that was improperly accessed. Fuzzland has compensated the affected parties and is cooperating with security companies and law enforcement agencies to investigate. The company stated that customer data was not affected and shared lessons learned from this incident, calling on the encryption community to strengthen supply chain security, permission management, and employee identification verification to collectively enhance industry defenses.
