Hong Kong police: Losses from encryption-related cases exceeded 31 billion yuan in the first ten months of this year, with a single highest loss of 16 billion yuan

Golden Finance reported that, according to the Hong Kong media Wen Wei Po, the Hong Kong police stated that they received more than 3400 cases related to cryptocurrency last year, with losses exceeding 4.3 billion yuan. There were over 2100 cases in the first 10 months of this year, with losses exceeding 3.1 billion yuan. In the related cases, the highest single loss was about 1.6 billion yuan. Wu Jiezhuang, a member of the Election Committee and the Legislative Council, said that in addition to strengthening regulation and public education, the Hong Kong government should also enhance citizen awareness of cryptocurrency, understand investment risks, avoid seeking small gains, choose licensed trading platforms for investment, and invest prudently.
