Although she and Senator Tim Scott did not delve into the details of any specific bill, she mentioned the work of the Senate Agriculture Committee. Scott also spoke at the SALT Wyoming Workshop held before the annual Jackson Hole conference of the Federal Reserve. Lummis and Scott also made a plea to voters during their brief appearance at SALT, claiming that Republicans are more supportive of the encryption industry than Democrats. Scott, the top Republican on the Senate Banking Committee, has rarely spoken out on cryptocurrency during his tenure as a senior member of the committee. However, at last month's BTC Nashville conference, he called for looser regulatory agencies and expressed support for encryption-friendly legislation. If the control of the Senate falls into the hands of the Republican Party, Scott will become the chairman. On Wednesday, he proposed that if he took the position, it might be possible to establish a subcommittee dedicated to digital asset, 'so that we can make the dialogue clearer, hold more hearings for the banking industry, and thus complete the work more quickly.
