Gate.io: Trump's better performance in the presidential debate helped the dollar
Chris Turner, Global Head of Markets at ING, said in a report that Democratic candidate Biden performed poorly in Thursday's US presidential debate, while Republican candidate Trump performed better, which boosted the dollar but with limited gains as PCE data may weaken. A CNN poll showed that Trump won 67% of the debate, although the election still needs some time. Trump's election would be more favorable to the dollar through looser fiscal policies and a more aggressive trade/tariff environment.
