Russia's LNG exports fell by 4.4% year-on-year from January to June.
Jin10 data reported on July 2nd that preliminary data released by LSEG on Wednesday showed that Russia's liquefied natural gas exports in the first half of this year decreased by 4.4% year-on-year, reaching 15.2 million tons. Due to the Russia-Ukraine conflict, the United States has imposed sanctions on companies and ships related to Russia's new Arctic LNG 2 project, making it difficult for Moscow to find buyers and effectively freezing the project. U.S. President Trump stated that he hopes the EU will purchase more American liquefied natural gas. LSEG's data shows that in June alone, Russia's liquefied natural gas exports also fell by 4.4% year-on-year, totaling 2.15 million tons. Compared to May, the decline was more pronounced, reaching 15%.
