Data breaches at Apple, Facebook, and Google have put billions of users at risk.
Gate News bot message, a large-scale data breach event has affected several major online service providers including Apple, Facebook, Google, and others. Researchers have discovered 30 exposed data sets, which contain billions of login credentials (including passwords). These databases have exposed over 16 billion credentials in total, with sizes ranging from tens of millions to over 3.5 billion records. This is considered the largest attack of its kind.
Most of these datasets have never been released, with only one (containing 184 million records) being previously known.
This data breach not only threatens cryptocurrency users but also poses broader risks to the technology industry. The leaked data includes usernames and passwords for various services, including GitHub and Telegram, which means that a wide range of users may be affected.
At the same time, in addition to the data breaches of Apple, Facebook, and Google, the cryptocurrency sector also faces other risks, which are reflected in the recent cyber attack incidents. The Iranian cryptocurrency exchange Nobitex recently suffered an attack by a pro-Israel hacker group, resulting in losses exceeding 81 million dollars.
