Overview of Sui Liquid Staking Hackathon Finalists

After more than 40 days of intense competition, the final list of the Sui liquid staking hackathon has been announced. Six teams from each of the two tracks successfully advanced to Demo Day. Let's take a look at these outstanding projects.

Shortlisted Projects Overview

1. Aftermath Finance: A one-stop decentralized trading platform that offers CLOB settlement for spot, perpetual contracts, and options, CMMM for long-tail assets and indices, and built-in money market functionalities.

2. DegenHive: An innovative governance model that combines centralized liquidity DEX with NFTs, dedicated to unleashing the potential of $SUI.

3. Haedal Protocol: Allows users to stake $SUI to obtain haSUI, enabling participation in DeFi activities to earn additional profits while contributing to ecological governance and decentralization.

4. Interest Protocol: A DeFi protocol that supports swapping and lending, liquidity providers can use LP tokens as collateral to borrow stablecoins like Sui Dollar to hedge against impermanent loss.

5. SUISA: The DeFi protocol allows staking $SUI to obtain stSUI, which can also be used to mint NFTs.

6. Volo: Helping users maximize the utility and Liquidity of SUI by providing voloSUI.

LST DeFi and tool track

1. Aftermath Finance: Same as above.

2. Bucket Protocol: A non-custodial, immutable, and governance-free CDP protocol that enhances capital efficiency and stabilizes stablecoin prices. Users can use $SUI, $BTC, $ETH, and LST as collateral to obtain the required tokens at zero interest.

3. Desig: A multi-signature solution applicable to the entire chain, compatible with all DApps on EVM and non-EVM chains.

4. Kana Labs: User-friendly applications aimed at DeFi and GameFi.

5. Legato: Provides fixed rate solutions for liquid staking assets and predicts annual interest rate fluctuations on Sui. Won first place at the Tokyo WebX Move Hackerthon.

6. Wisp Swap: A decentralized trading and prediction market, featuring an asymmetric concentrated liquidity DEX with auto-adjusting parameters, utilizing the Ve (3,3) economic design model to predict decentralized markets.

Demo Day Details

• Time: September 29 12:00 - 15:00 (GMT+8)
• Format: Live on Sui's official YouTube channel via StreamYard
• Process:
  • Participating teams: 10 minutes per team (5 minutes for presentation + 5 minutes for Q&A)
  • Sponsors: Alibaba Cloud, MoveBit, OtterSec

Review Mechanism

• The jury is selected by the Sui Foundation and partners from ecosystem partners, sponsors, etc.
• The scoring criteria are preset, and the total score is calculated after removing the highest and lowest scores.
• The standardized average score is used to determine the winners of each award.
• The results will be announced on October 2.

The hackathon is jointly sponsored by the Sui Foundation and several well-known organizations, aiming to promote the innovative development of the Sui ecosystem. Through these excellent projects, we can see the enormous potential and innovative vitality of Sui in the DeFi sector.
