On June 16th, PANews reported that Bryan Pellegrino, CEO of LayerZero Labs, said on X platform: "Nansen and Chaos Labs are checking all the clusters submitted by bounty hunters through their respective tools to generate their lists. If the bounty hunter cluster fails these checks, it will be removed, so this list is temporary and is currently being checked."

On May 19th, Bryan Pellegrino, co-founder and CEO of LayerZero, stated on social media that addresses mistakenly reported as witches can file an appeal by filling out a form. According to a previous report by Jinse Finance, LayerZero officially stated on social media that after self-declaration by the witches and analysis from LayerZero, Chaos Labs, and Nansen, 803,093 addresses were identified as potential witches. This number initially exceeded 2 million, but the official adopted stricter criteria to minimize false positives.

Golden Finance reported that LayerZero CEO Bryan Pellegrino posted on X, saying that nearly 200 approved witch reports (valid + partially valid) feel great to enter the final stage. In addition, Bryan Pellegrino stated that this is also a widely requested issue at present. Our goal is to release a complete sybil list (Chaos + Nansen + all approved bounty hunter clusters) for public review over the weekend whenever possible. There will be no formal appeal process for each address, but there will be 24 hours to review and report any defective/missing clusters found during the check. If verified, these clusters will be removed.

LayerZero Labs announced on the X platform that the self-reporting phase of the witch has ended. Each eligible address will receive 15% of its expected token allocation, and the remaining 85% will be returned to qualified users. In the end, 803,093 addresses were identified as potential witch addresses. The team initially tagged more than 2 million addresses as potential witches, but later adopted stricter criteria to reduce false positives. The complete list of self-reported addresses, as well as the address information identified in the preliminary analysis conducted by LayerZero, Chaos Labs, and Nansen, has been released. Please note that this list is preliminary and should not be considered definitive information until the final report is published. For example, when the official calculation method is updated, relevant addresses can be removed from the blacklist. The team will continue to refine and improve the methods during the bounty hunting process in the next two weeks. The initial list will not be updated during this time and will not affect the bounty hunters. The final witch list will be announced after the bounty hunting ends on May 31st.
